Role Description

The role is responsible for NPI project planning and execution and is a core team member in product design and development life cycle from inception of an idea to completion through delivering best in worldwide solutions. 

The role MUST be pretty organized and open-minded. Very logical to set and control schedules to meet NPI milestones. Very aggressive to drive teams to achieve goals in the company. 

Responsibilities

  • To meet PDM’s requests and schedule requirements. And coordinate with CMs to come out build plans and shipping schedules and tracking CMs material readiness/shortage to make sure “on-time delivery” in a project schedule.
  • Manage product development schedule and set timelines and deadlines for stages of NPI projects and lead and work with HW, ME, SW and PK cross functional teams to achieve milestones aligned with early access programs and mass production plans.
  • Track action items, report project progress, troubleshoot problems, escalate and adjust plans as needed. And make sure team members align on the dates of milestones. 
  • Lead MP PM of the product lines and follow up existing MP products’ issues and cost reduction plans and EoL process etc..
  • Create SoPs for processes and set a clear process flow chart for tasks. And execute and monitor engineering changes (ECO) and product design cycles.
  • Cost reviews in NPI stages and drive cost reduction in the design phase. 
  • Bridge R&D groups and regional Sales, planner and logistic teams worldwide from beta customer's feedback and manage product feature roadmap from concept to production.
  • Discussion about and Maintain and create Product spec and lists of features. 

Requirements

  • BS above.
  • 5 yrs NPI PM working experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Engineering background or experience is a plus.
  • Pretty good communication skills
  • Pretty good project management skills.
  • Pretty good logic and organized thinking.
