About the Role
Ceragon Networks, the global innovator and leading solutions provider of wireless transport, is looking for R&D Project Manager to join our team.
In this role you will:
- Be part of the project management team that runs all Ceragon’s R&D activities in a matrix organization. Lead RnD projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
- As an R&D Project Manager at Ceragon, you will lead multi-disciplinary development projects across hardware, software, mechanics, RF, testing, and system engineering domains. You will drive the end-to-end project lifecycle — from concept and design through validation, launch, and post-release improvement — while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality, and Customer Support.
- This role requires strong technical understanding, structured project leadership, and the ability to deliver complex telecom products to market on time, within scope, and at the right quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex R&D projects from initiation through release and deployment
- Manage project scope, milestones, risks, budget, and timelines
- Define project plans, work breakdown structures, and execution frameworks
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (HW, SW, RF, Mechanics, QA, Validation, Manufacturing)
- Drive decision-making processes and issue resolution
- Monitor progress through dashboards and structured reviews
- Ensure compliance with engineering & quality standards
- Work closely with Product Management to align business and technical priorities
- Oversee integration, verification and acceptance readiness
- Manage internal and external stakeholders
- Lead program communication to leadership and executive forums
- Support continuous improvement and lessons-learned practices
Desired Skills and Experience
- University graduate in computer science / computer engineering / electrical engineering – MUST
- At least 10 years of proven experience in successful management of complex multidisciplinary projects – MUST
- At least 5 years of experience in managing large projects >80 person years – MUST
- Experience and knowledge in networking or radio technologies – MUST
- Capable of self-learning and working in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills and interfaces
- Capable of grasping an overall view of a complex embedded system
