Hypertech is hiring a hands-on R&D Project Manager & Proposal Writer who can win proposals and deliver projects—with a strong focus on AI, Data Analytics, Sustainability, Smart Energy, smart buildings and decarbonization.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)1) Proposal writing & bid leadership (Horizon Europe)- Lead end-to-end proposal preparation for Horizon Europe (and related EU calls where relevant)
- Structure and write high-quality content across:
- Excellence (concept, objectives, SOTA, methodology, TRLs)
- Impact (KPIs, exploitation, dissemination, communication, market uptake)
- Implementation (work plan, WPs/tasks, deliverables, milestones, risks)
- Coordinate inputs from internal teams and partners (no “missing pieces at 2am” surprises)
- Build realistic work packages, effort allocation, budgets, and partner roles
- Produce proposal assets: DoA-ready text, tables, Gantt/Pert charts, risk registers, KPIs
- Ensure compliance with EC templates and requirements (ethics, open science, DMP, gender, etc.)
- Manage project execution once funded: scope, schedule, deliverables, governance, coordination
- Own partner coordination, meeting cadence, minutes, and action tracking
- Prepare reporting material (technical + financial): periodic reports, deliverable submissions
- Monitor KPIs, risks, and dependencies; keep the project moving and the consortium aligned
- Work closely with technical leads to ensure delivery quality and documentation consistency
You’ll frequently work on projects related to:
- AI / ML and data analytics pipelines
- Digital platforms, dashboards, decision intelligence
- Sustainability & decarbonization (smart buildings, energy optimization, ESG-related analytics)
- Smart Energy / IoT (monitoring, forecasting, optimization, predictive maintenance)
RequirementsWhat we’re looking for (Must-have)
- 4+ years experience in Horizon Europe / EU-funded proposals and/or project management
- Proven ability to write strong proposal sections (not just “copy/paste + prayers”)
- Experience producing: WPs, deliverables/milestones, risks, KPIs, budgets
- Confidence coordinating multiple stakeholders (partners, researchers, engineers, management)
- Strong English writing & communication (C1+). Greek is a plus.
- Organized, reliable, structured thinker with real follow-through
- Track record of successful Horizon submissions (as lead writer / coordinator / WP leader)
- Experience with domains such as:
- Smart buildings, energy efficiency, smart grids
- AI in monitoring/optimization/forecasting
- Sustainability frameworks, climate/energy policy context
- Familiarity with EU “ecosystem” concepts: TRLs, exploitation plans, dissemination strategy, IPR
- PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification
- Experience in public sector / procurement / national & EU innovation programs
