ROLE TITLE: R&D Programme Co-ordinator
REPORTING LINE: The R&D Programme Co-ordinator reports directly to the Government Programmes Lead.
DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEW:
The Government Programmes function is responsible for the leading and governance of Artemis Technologies range of government funded collaborative projects. Responsibilities range from creating grant funded applications, establishing consortia, leading on externally funded collaborative research and development projects, representing Artemis Technologies interests in discussion with relevant government departments and external stakeholders.
The Government Programmes function is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of Artemis Technologies’ strategic goals through clear definition and breakdown of subsequent delivery projects within a strategic roadmap.
THE ROLE:
This is a busy and varied role for a responsible, reliable, highly organised, and capable Programme Co-ordinator. You will perform a variety of administrative activities in providing support to the Government Programmes Lead, enabling them to carry out their role effectively. The Co-ordinator will help coordinate & administer Artemis Technologies’ programmes and associated consortia including Belfast Maritime Consortium’s Strength in Places Programme and Electric Orkney’s ZEVI programme. The role also involves working closely with the office of the CEO to secure grant funding and support speaking engagements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE AND SPECIALIST SKILLS:
- Working directly with the Government Programmes Lead to support all aspects of their daily work routine.
- Maintaining the Government Programmes Lead’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, engagements, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Keeping the Government Programmes Lead advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Generating or assisting in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and agenda material for Government Programmes Lead.
- Collating technical input from the engineering team into concise reports and presentations.
- Providing coordination, monitoring, and communication of projects and programs managed by the Government Programmes Team.
- Sorting and triaging mail; maintaining e-mail and other address directories.
- Scheduling departmental meetings; assisting in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and materials.
- Preparing, reconciling, and submitting expense reports.
- Maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
- Attending meetings and taking notes of discussions; preparing the initial draft of minutes and summaries.
- Attending team and 1-1 meetings and fulfilling reporting requirements as required by Artemis Technologies.
- Ensuring compliance with Artemis Technologies policies and procedures.
- Building good working relationships across Artemis Technologies.
- Contributing to shaping a culture that reflects Artemis Technologies Values and Guiding Principles and enables the company to achieve its goals.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education/Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and MS Project.
- Excellent workload prioritisation and ability to multi-task whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role essential.
- Graduate level education is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to interpret, organise and communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to think strategically and to ascertain priorities.

- Good report writing skills: clear, concise, and well structured.
- Articulate written, visual, and verbal communicator with excellent copy accuracy and proofreading skills; fluency in English is essential.
