Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer Intern to support various ongoing programs within the Microwave Technologies and System Development Operation.
The duties will include, but are not limited to technical design, development, assembly, integration, and testing of mechanical and thermal subsystems for high-voltage and high-power systems and supporting technologies.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative setting while engaging in research and development in the area of High-Power Microwaves (HPM).
Required Skills
Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
3.5 Minimum GPA, and must be listed on resume to be considered
Self-motivated and able to work well within a research and development team
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA NX, or similar software packages
Experience with 3D printers, including design optimization and printer assembly and maintenance
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Qualifications
Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Experience with standard electrical laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, and power supplies
Experience with HPM specific engineering disciplines such as high voltage engineering, pulsed power, prime power, power conditioning, high power RF, and/or antennas
