As R&D Manager – Game Technology at Snke you will lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team while remaining deeply involved in the hands-on design and development of next-generation interactive health experiences. You will operate at a senior technical level to architect and implement systems at the intersection of software engineering, game technology, and healthcare. In doing so, you will help shape how these innovative solutions are built and delivered, combining technical excellence with strong leadership.

Job Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of engineers, technical artists, and designers
  • Architect and implement core systems, setting technical direction and standards
  • Take ownership of end-to-end R&D delivery, guiding projects from early concept through to successful production release
  • Translate ambiguous product ideas into clear, executable technical plans and drive high-quality execution
  • Partner across Snke teams to align R&D efforts with product, design, clinical, and business priorities
  • Ensure systems meet standards for scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Identify risks early and navigate tradeoffs to keep projects on track

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, game technology, or interactive systems, or similar technical domains
  • Experience operating at a senior or principal engineering level
  • Proven track record of building and shipping complex software systems
  • Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment
  • Experience leading technical initiatives end-to-end, from concept through delivery
  • Comfort solving difficult technical problems in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • High ownership, reliability, and bias toward action
  • Clear, concise communicator with strong decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
