You will work closely with Electronic Client Services and trading desks to tailor models, iterate based on experimentation and client feedback, and translate research into measurable performance improvements.
Job Responsibilities
Research and model development
Conduct market microstructure research (order books, auctions, venue structure, dark vs. lit dynamics) and quantify the impact on execution outcomes and product design.
Analyze large, multi-horizon datasets (tick, intraday, daily) to extract stable causal relationships and signal structures.
Evaluate, document, and back‑test methodologies to ensure robustness, reproducibility, and performance under varying market regimes.
Lead the development of analytics and data-driven processes to automate and optimize model calibrations.
Validate and compare production implementations of models to verify behaviour and outcomes vs research.
Execution measurement and experimentation
Design and run empirical studies and controlled experiments (A/B tests) to evaluate routing, scheduling, and parameter changes; define success metrics and ensure robust statistical conclusions.
Build tools to analyse execution performance and evaluate experiments.
Data engineering
- Develop and curate high quality datasets facilitate research into quantitative models for trading algorithms and performance analysis.
Collaboration
Collaborate with Technology and Algo Development to industrialize research into production-ready capabilities, including documentation, controls, and model/feature governance.
