Quantitative Trading Director – Commodities

Your future role within QRT  

As a Quantitative Trading Director in coffee and cocoa, you will:

• Oversee discretionary and systematic coffee & cocoa trading strategies leveraging both market and fundamental data.
• Supervise fundamental and quantitative coffee & cocoa research and analysis.
• Manage and train junior analysts and liaise with other internal experts to enhance overall performance of the business.
• Lead research into price models, supply-demand signals, and seasonality effects.
• Integrate alternative datasets into the strategy pipeline.
• Share and discuss research results, methodology, data sets and processes with other researchers

• Manage relationships with key clients across the globe.

Your present skillset 

• 8–10+ years of trading experience in commodities, with direct exposure to coffee and/or cocoa.
• Experience in the global robusta trade is a plus.
• Proven track record in systematic or quantamental strategy design.
• Deep understanding of softs fundamentals and global commodity markets.
• Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while keeping strong attention to detail
• Experience in exploring large datasets across multiple time frames is a plus.
• Intellectual curiosity to explore new data sets, solve complex problems, drive innovative processes and connect the dots between multiple fields
• Capacity to work with autonomy within a collegial and collaborative environment
• Strong capacity to communicate with technologists, data scientists, traders and clients across the globe
