Perform and audit quality inspections for cradle parts and processes, including incoming/material audits, weld/coating/DFT testing, CMM/dimensional reviews, reporting non-conformances, supporting containment and customer standards, and promoting safety and housekeeping.

Job Responsibilities:

The Quality Technician – CRADLES, is responsible for their safety and well-being as well as quality, part audits, system audits, customer cost, productivity, and ergo.   This will be achieved by using company policies, SOP’s, WI, Procedures and the Magna Employee’s Charter as a guideline. 

1)    Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies
2)    Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs 
3)    Understand and promote Magna’s philosophies (Magna’s Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee’s Charter)
4)    Responsible for keeping boundary parts in secure area to use for comparison on future runs
5)    Responsible for making decisions on findings to determine if acceptable to Customer or not, support Customer Specific Standards
6)    Quality System Audits
7)    Perform Incoming Receiving Audits
8)    Perform Material Certification Audits
9)    Perform Line process/part Weld Defect Audits
10)    Perform Check Fixture Audits
11)    Review CMM/Dimensional outputs
12)    Perform DFT testing of a destruct cradle weekly
13)    Perform Line process/part Coatings Defect Audits
14)    Perform/Audit Coatings properties of dry film thickness test, crosshatch testing, scratch test, and cure test
15)    Perform incoming part inspection from media blast to e-coat 
16)    Perform wax verifications weekly
17)    Perform DOCK-Audits
18)    Support Operations in making quality calls with product in conjunction with Customer specs
19)    Responsible to report NC findings immediately to Leadership
20)    Responsible for roundtable meetings for quality alerts, and containment of non-conforming product.
21)    Promote good housekeeping
22)    Perform other duties as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Some of the physical demands for this position include being able to frequently lift up to a weight of 65 pounds and the ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
