RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) functions for assigned program IAW with applicable customer regulations. Provides guidance and direction to achieve compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards
  • Provides on the job training to quality inspectors.
  • Coordinates and performs audits on Quality/Safety/Environmental programs and develops trend analysis reports.
  • Conducts quality and safety inspections/audits of contract operations and subcontractors.
  • Prepare, maintain, enforce, and update the QC plans to drive performance using applicable ISO standards across the program.
  • Establishes and communicates program metrics as needed.
  • Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and disseminates safety-related bulletins, technical changes and literature to work site personnel.
  • Empowers workforce with stop work authority for quality breaches.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures OSHA, FOD, mishap, injury, incident, HAZMAT and adverse trend reporting. As needed, oversees and investigates mishaps and injuries.
  • Provides response to customer concerns and findings. Tracks corrective actions taken in response to internal and customer audit findings.
  • Monitors quality deficiencies and coordinates corrective actions.
  • Provides leadership and knowledge to staff members and teams as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six (6) years progressively responsible experience in quality assurance and inspection. Previous experience supervising quality assurance personnel.
  • Experience in Construction Quality Management and/or one or more trades preferred (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Water/Wastewater Treatment).
  • Knowledge of equipment related to individual specialty codes.
  • Knowledge of applicable publications, drawings, diagrams and schematics.
  • Knowledge of customer and/or company forms required by work requirements.
  • Ability and experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes (i.e. NFPA, UFCs, NEC, IBC, etc.).
  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline preferred; two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
