PPG Aerospace is seeking a Quality Specialist at our Mojave, CA location! You will ensure that products manufactured at this facility meet all customer requirements. This is an onsite position and you will report directly to our Quality Compliance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop and maintain internal quality procedures and implementing QA/Control plans as per customer and company requirements
- Examine customer quality and material specifications, ensuring alignment with their quality system requirements which includes reviewing ISO/AITM methods for revision and technical changes.
- Manage Production Part Approval Process documents
- Ensure PFMEA documents are maintained, risks identified and action taken.
- Lead internal audits
- Manage Process Control Documents (PCD) and participate in an unbiased internal audit program to ensure compliance with quality procedures across all operations
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols while contributing to process enhancements to ensure regulatory compliance
- Digital literacy in ERP System (QAD)
- Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Experience in inspection, test, and product evaluation, coupled with a strong background in customer service excellence
Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior quality experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- US Person
- Salary Range $67,000-$73,000 plus annual bonus
