Your Impact
- Lead construction quality across AirTrunk’s growing India data centre portfolio.
- Establish a consistent, practical and high-performing quality approach across projects, contractors and suppliers.
- Work with senior stakeholders across Development, Project Delivery, Design, Procurement, Commissioning and Operations to influence quality outcomes from early planning through to handover.
As Construction Quality Manager, based in India, Mumbai with regular travel to AirTrunk projects, you will report to the Associate Director - Construction Quality. You will provide national leadership for quality assurance, quality control, governance, audits, digital quality systems and capability development across the India portfolio.
What you’ll do
- Lead the implementation of AirTrunk’s quality standards, systems and governance across India projects
- Provide direction to project quality managers, consultants, inspectors and delivery partners
- Ensure quality is planned, inspected, tested, recorded and closed out across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Set clear quality expectations for contractors, consultants, subcontractors, manufacturers and suppliers.
- Oversee audits, assurance activities, quality risks, defects, non-conformances, root-cause investigations and lessons learned.
- Use Procore, VisiBuild and other approved systems to improve the quality, traceability and accessibility of project records.
- Provide quality reporting, trends and recommendations to project and senior leadership forums
- Build capability within the India quality team through coaching, training and practical support.
What you’ll bring
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, quality management or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in construction quality, QA/QC, project delivery or technical assurance, ideally across major data centre, critical infrastructure or complex building projects.
- Experience leading quality across multiple projects or a national portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001 principles, audits, quality planning, inspections, testing, defects, non-conformances and handover.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants and suppliers and translating quality requirements into practical delivery controls.
- Experience with digital construction quality or document management systems, preferably Procore, VisiBuild or equivalent.
- Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across a diverse and fast-moving environment.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to AirTrunk projects across India.
Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience in construction quality, QA/QC management, or technical engineering roles within data centers, critical infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
- Experience embedding quality frameworks in fast-paced delivery environments
- Experience conducting audits
- Experience managing ITPs and ITCs
- Experience overseeing commissioning quality
- Experience driving NCR and root cause analysis processes
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Visibuilt, Procore, Smartsheet, DroneDeploy, or similar QA/QC and construction management platforms
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary construction, including architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire, ICT, security, structural, and hydraulics disciplines
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence contractors and drive a strong quality culture
- Experience managing regional portfolios or overseeing multiple projects
