This role reports into KitPackers, LLC, an Ellsworth Corporation company located in Germantown, WI and is a 100% on-site role working out of our Germantown facility.

This role oversees testing and inspection at various stages of production to ensure accurate and timely evaluation of a Business Unit(s) materials and products and supports Quality Lab staff in critical decision-making regarding product adjustments, deviations and recertifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns tasks to the Business Unit’s Quality Lab Technicians to ensure accurate and timely evaluation of materials and products and to uphold existing 5S standards
  • Leads the recertification process for raw materials, stock products, and customer-owned inventory
  • Initiates in-process batch adjustments of mature formulated products to meet product performance specifications
  • Authorizes internal product testing deviations and QA test sheet modifications for formulated and packaged products
  • Trains Quality Lab Technicians in all aspects of established test methods, instrumentation, equipment, and data integrity
  • Collaborates with manager(s) to develop Quality Lab team by evaluating employees’ performance and competencies

Qualifications

  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a Quality Lab setting
  • Associate Degree in a related technical field is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field is preferred
  • Ability to independently problem-solve and apply critical thinking
  • Demonstrated expertise in synthesizing complex or diverse information
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite, Internet, email, ERP software
  • Experience with chemical manufacturing
