Summary:
Ensures proper quality of the product by knowing customer-specific requirements. Implements quality improvements as identified.

1. Develop/approve gauging for new programs or gauge revisions to existing programs.
2. Performs audits as required.
3. Responsible for preparation of Control Plans and inspection instructions/check sheet as required.
4. Provide assistance and support as a member of the APQP team of LMV Automotive Systems.
5. Responsible for PPAP submissions and submission in any required customer portal.
6. Promote and practice our "safety first" policy by immediately addressing hazards, defective equipment, or unsafe situations.
7. Keep the department leader advised of conditions within the work area: Report gage, tool, or other equipment problems to the department leader.
8. Notify the department leader whenever tasks or scheduled work cannot be completed as planned.
9. Recommend and encourage others to recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity, and work environment (Continual Improvement Process).
10. Maintain a positive attitude with fellow employees and help develop this attitude throughout the company. Treat all associates with dignity and respect.
11. Performs other duties as required.
12. Follows and supports LMV Automotive Systems' and Magna's operating principles, including:

13. Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May direct hourly personnel.
Qualifications: (These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Associates will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.)
Education and/or Experience:• B.A or B.S. Degree in Engineering, Quality Sciences, or other relevant study areas.• One to three years' experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Ability to do trigonometric functions, geometry, and basic math• Ability to read blueprints• Must have computer skills• Ability to manage multiple projects• Knowledge of AIAG, Automotive Customer, or similar quality requirements.
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 40 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
