Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will lead initiatives to assess and mitigate risks, solve quality challenges, and implement improvements that enhance engineering efficiency. You will be responsible for developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality while coaching developers on quality engineering best practices. This role plays a key part in building a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement across the engineering team.

Your Main Responsibilities

• You will create test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria to ensure coverage and clarity of quality expectations.

• You will develop and maintain automated test cases and frameworks for system integration, API, and end-to-end testing.

• You will drive quality as an end-to-end responsibility across the team throughout the development lifecycle.

• You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded early in the process.

• You will coach developers on test automation, testing practices, and quality mindset.

• You will work with cross-functional teams on general automation initiatives (e.g., data preparation, environment setup).

• You will deliver quality reporting and dashboards to improve visibility and transparency.

• You will identify and remediate quality or process limitations, recommending improvements.

• You will contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing test quality and suggesting enhancements.

• You will assist with development duties when needed to support the team’s delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present technical findings clearly.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in application, system integration, API, and end-to-end testing.

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript-based test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, or Jest.

• Experience with API testing frameworks such as Postman, Cypress, and/or Selenium.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming.

• Experience in adding and maintaining automation tests and quality gates in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).

• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members on quality engineering practices and processes.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience planning, coordinating, and reporting on test efforts for projects

• Performance testing experience.

• Familiarity with the Quality Assistance model.

• ISTQB Certification.

• Experience with AWS and GitHub Actions pipelines.

• Experience with observability tools such as Splunk (logging) and New Relic (monitoring).

• Proven expertise within quality assurance or quality engineering disciplines.
