Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Overland Park, KS (Onsite – Remote is not an option)
Compensation: Market Rate 
Experience Required: 4 to 6 years

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both software and hardware testing, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify potential risks, and manage defects effectively. This is an onsite position based in Overland Park, KS, and requires a proactive individual who can collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution: Develop, implement, and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on project specifications, design documents, and requirements.
• Comprehensive Testing: Conduct software and hardware testing, identifying test scenarios, edge cases, and potential risks to ensure thorough test coverage across all stages of development.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and report defects clearly and accurately using issue tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, product management, etc.) to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate test status, progress, and risks effectively to all stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in quality engineering, with a proven track record of test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Testing Expertise: In-depth understanding of various testing methodologies, tools, and best practices for both software and hardware testing.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality results in all aspects of testing.
