Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Engineer (Level 2/3) to join our Quality Engineering team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift.
The successful candidate is a critical thinker who understands the importance of developing and implementing strategic plans bringing a dedicated focus to drive alignment within the Manufacturing environment by use of multiple activities involving data analytics, applies and practices outstanding project management skills and demonstrates a solid understanding of time management /organization skills.
Position Responsibilities:
• Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation
• Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
• Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities
• Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
• Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
• Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances
• Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
• Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
• Works under general supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the North Charleston, SC site.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering
• 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
• 1+ years of experience in summarizing and/or reviewing documentation to develop informational or technical materials
• 1+ years of experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions
• 1+ years of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problems/analysis/resolution processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts
• 1+ years of experience supporting projects with cross-functional stakeholders and teammates
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
• 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working in Quality Engineering or other production engineering job role focusing in electrical/wiring installation, systems troubleshooting, and/or aerospace structures
• Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
• Experience with analytics tools & software
• Proactive and collaborative mindset with an emphasis on positive relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
• Analyze complex engineering documentation
• Conduct thorough audits
• Experience in identifying chronic non-conformances through data analysis and implementing effective corrective actions
• Experience in leading/managing cross-functional teams

Level 2: $83,000 - $112,700
Level 3: $100,300 - $135,700
