The Vacancy

We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Quality Engineer.

In this role, you will support and continuously improve product and process quality across Megger Instruments Limited, helping to maintain the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), investigate quality issues and drive corrective and continuous improvement activities. Working closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and other teams, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of product and customer quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the effectiveness of the QMS and contribute to internal and external audit activities.

  • Investigate product and process non-conformities using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.

  • Support containment, corrective actions, concessions and Stop Notices to prevent recurrence and minimise quality risks.

  • Provide Quality input into Engineering Change Notes and Product Sample Approval activities.

  • Monitor and analyse quality data and trends, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

  • Investigate quality issues relating to Customer Care cases and Warranty Returns, supporting actions to reduce repeat issues.

  • Work cross-functionally to deliver quality and process improvements.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance or a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001.

  • Experience with non-conformities, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Experience or understanding of internal auditing and quality improvement activities.

  • Ability to analyse quality data, identify trends and make evidence-based recommendations.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Experience within electrical/electronic manufacturing, or a similar technical manufacturing environment, would be advantageous.
