Objective of the position
As a Quality Engineer, you will support product and production quality in cooperation with internal teams and customers. The role covers handling quality issues, customer claims, audits and continuous improvement projects for existing products and new product launches.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate customer claims and quality issues, identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
- Plan and carry out product audits.
- Work with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Communicate with customers on quality-related matters.
- Support quality activities during new product launches.
- Escalate major quality issues and take immediate action, including production stops and quarantine when needed.
Education, experience and knowledge
- BSc degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics, embedded products or mechatronics.
- Fluent in English and Estonian.
- Knowledge of quality management system standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 is an advantage.
- Knowledge of automotive quality tools and problem-solving methods such as PDCA, 8D, SPC, FMEA and Control Plan is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or Kaizen is an advantage.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
