ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in our Logansport, Indiana location. The Quality Engineer serves as the primary interface between Compal and the customer on all quality-related matters for various programs. This role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the quality management systems on all lines in full compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and applicable IPC standards. The Quality Engineer owns the customer quality relationship, drives defect prevention through rigorous process control and PFMEA, and leads corrective action activities to protect customer satisfaction and program deliverables.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of and ability to implement IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
- Familiarity with IPC standards
- Experience performing PFMEA and process control for defect prevention
- Experience establishing, maintaining, and improving Quality Management Systems (QMS) on production lines
- Ability to lead corrective action activities and manage customer quality relationships
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics/PC/smart device production)
