We are seeking a Quality Engineer with expertise in Lean Manufacturing to support a manufacturing facility currently facing production and delivery challenges. A Value Stream Mapping (VSM) workshop will be conducted to assess processes and identify key areas for Lean tactics and Kaizen events. The objective is to optimize workflow, improve throughput, and enhance on-time delivery per production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify and implement process improvements.
- Plan, facilitate, execute, and monitor Kaizen events to drive efficiency.
- Develop and manage project materials, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure commitment to improvement initiatives.
- Engage directly with production processes by conducting time studies, spaghetti diagrams, and level loading assessments.
- Coach and collaborate with suppliers to implement Lean action plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Lean Manufacturing knowledge with the ability to apply appropriate tactics based on operational needs.
- Experience as an Industrial Engineer, Production Engineer, or Lean Specialist in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on expertise in conducting process improvement initiatives.
- Strong project management skills, including stakeholder communication and timeline management.
- Ability to assess current workflows and recommend data-driven process improvements.
Preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred, but not required).
- Experience working with manufacturing and supplier quality improvements.
