The Role

The Quality Assurance Engineer II is responsible for continuously improving the quality of the company’s product line by preventing, quickly detecting, and validating product and process defects, to deliver market and customer driven business results. You will evaluate the test results, prepare change requests, and generate measures to assess the product quality. In this role you will work with an integrated team of developers, product managers, product owners, and system analysts for test planning, test Automation and execution, and product validation.

Role qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Must have experience in an Agile/Scrum environment; we operate in 2-week sprints.
Must have 2+ years of experience in functionality/systems testing.
Must have 2+ years of experience in JavaScript.
Must have working automation experience with front end and back end testing.
Must have working knowledge of test management and manual/automated testing tools for regression, cross browser, and functional testing.
Must have strong SQL experience for creating, updating, and deleting data for the creation of test data.
Must have API testing and API automation experience.
Experience with Cucumber is required.
Experience with Selenium WebDriver is required.
Must be able to work cross-functionally to identify gaps or missing elements across the test cycle, collaborate with User Experience and Customer Support to incorporate customer feedback into testing approaches, and provide insights on best practices to ensure that deadlines are executed.
Must have knowledge of underlying technologies supporting the applications under test i.e., REST API’s, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, SQL, SFTP, microservices, and cloud architecture.
Must have working knowledge/experience with:

o Agile work planning tools (JIRA or similar)
o Source-control change management software (GIT or similar)
o Test management software (TestRail or similar)
o Continuous integration tools (Jenkins or similar)
o Application performance management (NewRelic, Splunk, or similar)
Ability to showcase an understanding of general testing techniques such as functional, integration performance and regression testing.
Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Healthcare industry and X12 EDI experience is a plus.
Experience with RedShift is a plus.
AWS experience is a plus.


What you will be doing:
Assigned to a Scrum team where you will be developing test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on the business, user, and functional/nonfunctional requirements.
Participating in daily stand ups.
Participating in weekly planning and refinement meetings
Utilizing JIRA for project planning and tracking
Collaborating with the Product Owner on a regular basis
Conducting automated tests using user-level test automation tools and/or behavioral-driven test scenarios
Validating and documenting the completion of testing and development processes to ensure compliance standards are met.
