SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives. You will proactively drive actions to meet internal and external customer expectations for quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Primary customer facing Quality roll for the business unit. Responsible for interacting with customer on a daily bases on issues related to part delivery quality and associated processes.
- Manage all aspects of the plant quality to include audits, inspections, quality engineering, first article reporting, non-conforming product management, supplier quality
- Evaluate and enhance quality standards, technologies and approaches
- Act as a strong advocate for quality in the New Product Development Process
- Represent the company externally in conversations with key customers and partners
- Synthesize quality performance data for presentation to executive leadership
- Drive improvement to the department key performance metrics (COPQ, QPPM, Supplier Quality QPPM, DMR/RMA rate)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) from four-year College or university in an Engineering or Quality discipline; or 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in facilitating Quality performance and improvement for manufacturing organizations in the machining, semiconductor equipment, automotive or medical device sector
- Ability to synthesize and distill technical analyses into meaningful activities to drive continuous improvement
- Ability to write process descriptions, assembly, and manufacturing instructions.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings “Blueprints”
- Advanced Knowledge of ASME Y14.5GD&T Techniques desirable.
- ISO 9001 and/or Six sigma certifications desirable.
