Job Summary
MycoWorks is seeking a Quality Control Technician who will be responsible for conducting developmental and quality improvement tests to ensure the highest quality of products. This role focuses on testing goods and samples from various production and development programs, with an emphasis on extracting accurate data, identifying opportunities for process optimization, and improving overall product quality.
The Quality Control Technician also plays a critical role in analyzing material characteristics and performance during quality checks after production, ensuring compliance with quality standards and identifying potential improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform specific tests using laboratory equipment, analyzing results based on statistical significance and quality improvement principles.
- Support the product development team by conducting regular quality evaluations and assessments on raw materials and produced SKUs.
- Monitor quality KPIs for various in-house production processes.
- Maintain and organize testing documentation, ensuring timely reordering of equipment supplies and materials.
- Review the performance of current lab supply providers and assist in onboarding new suppliers.
- Analyze production trends, interpret statistics, and report quality exceptions to troubleshoot and prevent deviations from targets.
- Conduct daily meetings to review material development progress and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Produce detailed reports on findings and the performance of production processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Correlate data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform additional tasks within the scope of the role as needed to support operational requirements.
Qualifications:
Professional certification such as “Técnico Superior de FP en Laboratorio de Análisis y de Control de Calidad” or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality testing in high-volume production industries such as apparel, footwear, or automotive components.
- Knowledge of mechanical properties of multi-component materials, such as textile composites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong commitment to product quality and safety standards.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, statistical analysis tools, and internet applications.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
- Adaptability and flexibility are essential to this position in Product Development, with desire to overcome new challenges constantly
