We are currently looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The QA/QC Supervisor should be very technically astute and knowledgeable in QA/QC aspects related to production/manufacturing environments and the direct requirements of GMP 110, 111 and GLP. Responsible for verifying, maintaining, revising, training and creating all aspects of required documents such as SOPs, policies, logs, forms, etc. Additionally supervises all other necessary requirements of the Quality program such as sanitation, 3rd party sampling, and some internal testing.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the QA Program, the development and monitoring of the QA Program as outlined in the Quality Management Plan. Ensures company compliance and all related activities performed.
  • Responsible for the preparation of any QA Policies and Procedures and for the modification of SOP’s. In addition, this position is responsible for the following functions: protocol audits, In-Progress inspections, data audits, BMR audits, daily spot checks, final report audits, facility inspections, and computer validation audits.
  • Assist with visits from QA auditors, government agencies and State regulatory personnel.
  • Maintain QA records.
  • Maintain / input master schedule. Maintain copies of all protocols and methods.
  • Train new personnel in QA / GLPs.
  • Monitor logbooks and ensure original logbooks are secured and stored properly.
  • Monitor scheduled checks / calibrations of laboratory equipment at specified intervals.
  • Report results of QA/QC activities to appropriate personnel.
  • Document and follow-up on corrective action activities.
  • Conduct internal audits on a scheduled basis to ensure compliance with QA program procedures and Good Laboratory and Manufacturing Practices.
  • Initiate corrective actions for analytical or manufacturing deviations.
  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Maintaining safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.
  • Document and maintain strict inventory, analytical, and production records. This includes but not limited to; all plant materials, chemicals, equipment, and manufacturing related procedures, materials, forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Ability to pass and maintain all required background checks to work with cannabis.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on the demands of the business, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours as required, over 40 hours per week.
  • Perform other related work as required.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, biology, physics or environmental sciences is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Unwavering quality mindset and morals.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Good communication skills, high attention to detail, math skills
  • Familiar with the regulatory guideline requirements
  • Able to work at a fast pace within a diverse workforce environment.
  • Required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with regulations
  • Must be flexible and able to work long hours and weekends as required.
  • Quality, safety minded, reliable, precise and self-motivated.
  • Experience with scientific laboratory equipment.
  • Experience with developing scientific methods of measurements
  • Health and safety practices and precautions applicable to a chemistry laboratory
  • Experienced in proper, safe handling and disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes
  • Capabilities with computer systems, software, and hardware common to laboratories recordkeeping procedures
  • Thorough understanding of state and local medical marijuana laws and how they apply to the operations
  • Effective time management and ability to multi-task
  • Strong decision-making, analytical and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to adapt in a quick and positive manner
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and requests
  • Computer literate and competent in use of Microsoft programs
