What the Role Offers:

The Quality Control (QC) Analyst II - Microbiology will support the QC Micro team by performing, coordinating, and analyzing environmental monitoring activities and data in a cGMP-regulated biopharmaceutical environment. This role is responsible for performing routine and non-routine microbiological testing, supporting all cGMP activities and practices and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The Analyst II will work independently with minimal supervision and provide technical input to support manufacturing and quality operations.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • Perform routine and non-routine environmental monitoring sampling of classified manufacturing cleanrooms, controlled areas, and utility systems (e.g., viable air, non-viable particulate, surface monitoring, water, and compressed gases).
  • Execute protocols and testing following cGLP, cGMP, and internal SOPs with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Perform data entry, basic analysis, and generate reports to support investigations, CAPAs, and regulatory submissions.
  • Support deviation investigations and assist with root cause analysis related to environmental monitoring and microbiological testing excursions.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of SOPs, protocols, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Train and mentor Inventprise staff on environmental monitoring techniques and aseptic practices.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Facilities teams to support production and quality goals.
  • Present data summaries and updates to management and project teams as required.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in microbiology, other scientific disciplines are acceptable with commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant Quality Control experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry including 3 years of Environmental Monitoring experience.
  • Strong aseptic technique and demonstrated experience with microbial culture handling.
  • In-depth knowledge of Environmental Monitoring principles and cleanroom behaviors.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and technical writing for reports.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, ICH, ISO) for Environmental Monitoring.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently use of office equipment that requires manual dexterity to operate (i.e. computers, phones, etc.).
  • Occasional carrying, handling, and reaching for objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequently sit or stand for long periods of time.

Mental Demands:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail.
  • Must maintain a high level of alertness and acuity for analytical review and processing of documentation, daily.
  • Able to work independently with changing priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite position in Redmond or Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
  • Availability to work in our Redmond or Woodinville facilities. 
  • Extended periods of time on the computer.
  • Extended periods of time on your feet.
  • Working in warm environment wearing sterile gowning.
  • Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure.

Estimated Base Salary:

  • $73,000 - $82,000 / yearly DOE
  • It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
  • The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.

  • 401(k) program: Inventprise offers both pre-tax 401(k) and post-tax Roth retirement savings plans, letting you decide how you want to save for the future. We also make an employer contribution of 3% of your total earnings each pay period, regardless of whether you contribute.
