Job Summary :
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in functional and non-functional testing across web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in test case development, test data management, and defect tracking using Jira. A strong understanding of testing methodologies, business requirements, and analytical thinking is essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Perform functional, non-functional, UI, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and system testing.
- Identify, report, and track defects using Jira or other bug-tracking tools.
- Conduct web and mobile application testing, ensuring cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to analyze requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Perform load testing, performance testing, and browser compatibility testing using tools like JMeter.
- Ensure database validation and data integrity through SQL-based database testing.
- Conduct acceptance testing to validate software meets business requirements.
- Provide clear and concise bug reports, including steps to reproduce, severity, and expected outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in QA processes and test documentation.
- Assist in automating repetitive test cases (if applicable) to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, UI, regression, integration, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Jira for test and defect management.
- Experience with test case design and execution.
- Good understanding of load testing and performance testing using JMeter.
- Experience in browser compatibility testing across different devices and browsers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Java (optional but preferred).
- Familiarity with database testing and SQL queries.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in an agile development environment with cross-functional teams.
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
