Our financial-services work includes secure platforms and technology delivery supporting banking, payments, digital channels, integration, data, and financial operations. ## Job Title Quality Assurance / Testing Engineer ## Location Cairo, Egypt (hybrid/work-from-office supported; international collaboration as needed) ## Years of Experience 3–7 years ## Job Description As a Quality Assurance / Testing Engineer at ITGoals, you will ensure enterprise applications, workflows, APIs, and integrations are functionally correct, stable, secure, traceable to approved requirements, and ready for controlled production release. You will collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and delivery leads to design comprehensive test strategies for complex enterprise systems and regulated environments. ## Key Responsibilities * Review business and technical requirements to identify test scope, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and risk areas. * Prepare test plans, test scenarios, detailed test cases, test data, and evidence suitable for enterprise delivery and audit needs. * Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing across applications, workflows, APIs, and connected services. * Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools, validating requests, responses, status codes, authentication, error handling, and business rules. * Validate workflow behavior including approvals, rejection, send-back, SLA, status transitions, and exception scenarios. * Use SQL for basic data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting where backend verification is required. * Log, classify, prioritize, and track defects through Azure DevOps or equivalent tools, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence. * Work with developers and analysts to clarify defects, retest fixes, and protect regression coverage. * Support SIT / UAT preparation and execution, including business-user coordination, issue triage, and readiness reporting. * Participate in production verification after releases and support root-cause analysis for defects that escape earlier test stages. * Maintain clear test traceability and communicate quality risks before release decisions. ## Required Experience * Hands-on manual QA experience testing enterprise applications and integrated systems. * Experience preparing structured test cases and managing defects across a formal software-delivery lifecycle. * Practical API testing experience and confidence validating backend behavior beyond the user interface. * Experience supporting regression cycles, UAT, and production verification. ## Required Skills * Manual functional testing * API testing and Postman * Test-case design and test evidence * Regression testing * Defect management * SQL basics for validation * Azure DevOps or equivalent ALM tools * UAT support and production verification * Clear written communication and attention to detail ## Banking / Fintech & Nice to Have * Banking, fintech, payments, lending, digital channels, or other regulated financial-services testing experience is a strong advantage. * Experience testing workflow / BPM solutions and enterprise integrations. * Basic test automation exposure and understanding of automation candidates. * Knowledge of security, performance, or non-functional testing concepts. ## What Success Looks Like * Tests beyond the happy path and thinks in terms of business risk and production impact. * Produces defects that are clear, reproducible, and actionable. * Can communicate release risk professionally to technical and non-technical stakeholders. ## ITGOALS Offers * Enterprise-scale assignments where engineering quality, security, resilience, and delivery discipline matter. * Structured ITGoals recruitment, onboarding, delivery governance, and clear professional ownership throughout the engagement. * Collaboration with experienced engineers, architects, QA professionals, delivery leaders, and business stakeholders. * Exposure to complex digital-transformation environments and the opportunity to deepen banking, fintech, payments, and regulated-enterprise experience. * Opportunities to contribute to long-term enterprise delivery programs based on performance, business demand, and role fit. ## Application Instructions Share an updated CV with the ITGoals recruitment team, highlighting the experience most relevant to this role, particularly enterprise delivery, banking / fintech exposure where applicable, and the technologies listed above.
