 Summary

The Quality Assurance Tech will assist in training our staff on the best practices for handling, inspecting, and maintaining the quality of produce. This role is essential in ensuring that our produce meets the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and implementing training programs for new hires and current employees on QA processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of training sessions, employee progress, and areas needing additional focus.
  • Stay informed about new developments in quality assurance, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming harvest, collect data, and prepare reports
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

Requirements

  Qualifications/Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in quality management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Must have Food Handlers Card.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass a soft criminal/background check.
  • Working knowledge of applying health and safety standards for safe growing, harvesting, packing, and storage of all vegetables and fruits for human consumption.
  • Previous experience in quality control, training, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Strong interest in quality control and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
