Primary Duties
1. Provides analytical support and assistance with analysis and evaluation of procedures, processes, and records for sufficiency and effectiveness. Areas of focus include pipeline safety, occupational safety, environmental and other areas relevant to key company processes, activities, and assets.
2. Manages, schedules, and assists with panel discussions/interviews with internal stakeholders. Document and distribute tracking reports to management on a routine basis.
3. Collects and tracks data as appropriate for assessments being conducted; documents risks and related controls within the scope of specific quality assurance protocols; communicates changes necessary for continuous improvement.
4. Works with QA Team and internal stakeholders on the process for timely completion of assessments; draft and monitor continuous improvement plans (CIP) from inception to completion. Offers feedback and recommends changes to QA or enterprise processes, procedures, and practices where appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
Educational/Experience Level:
1. Bachelor's degree in a technical or a related field and three years pipeline safety and industry related experience in operations or regulatory compliance; or
2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and five years progressively responsible experience in pipeline safety regulations or pipeline operations.
Communication Skills:
Ability to interact and work with multiple departments across the enterprise, as well as external stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret federal and state regulations as it relates to enterprise procedures and processes; ISO 9000 and 9001 familiarity is a plus.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric operations and/or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
Computer Skills:
Requires an advanced knowledge of various software applications for creating complex documents, reports, and graphics.
Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
