The Role:

Quality Assurance Lead

Assists the QC Supervisor in the day-to-day QC Inspections, will prioritize Inspections and set inspection schedules. Will train new inspectors on inspection methods and will assist with the development of communication and training materials and will help in the execution of the day to day workload. When needed will be responsible for inspecting to address any holds, releases, and rejects through the RF gun.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·Planning, organizing, and monitoring daily QC Inspection activities and workload for employees.

· Write reports, document and maintain inspection results data.

· Keeping files and data up-to-date and organized.

· Provide information to the Supervisor of any order failures along with description of defects and issues.

· Ensure QC supplies are in stock, materials needed are prepared and available.

· Ability to lead, coach and train a team of associates.

· Communicate concerns to the Supervisor and appropriate individuals.

· Self-motivated work style but also comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job.

· Maintain Attendance log document and communicate absences, tardiness and other attendance related issue's to the Supervisor

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to take responsibility and ownership of their work
  • Read and follow QC instructions both verbal and written
  • Visually review samples
  • Run and interpret HighJump receiving reports
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence & memos
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to effectively present information to managers.
  • Ability to perform simple math.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems when we have to prioritize work.
