Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop, execute, and maintain software testing strategies and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing software products.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supports software development projects and contributes significantly to quality assurance planning and release readiness activities.
Develops, executes, and maintains test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and technical requirements.
Performs functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, and end-to-end testing of software applications and services.
Identifies, documents, tracks, and verifies resolution of software defects and issues.
Collaborates closely with software engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate expected outcomes.
Participates in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contributes to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning activities.
Develops and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Supports continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes through automated quality validation activities.
Performs root cause analysis of software defects and works with development teams to implement corrective actions.
Validates software releases prior to production deployment and supports post-release verification activities.
Monitors application quality metrics and recommends improvements to testing processes and standards.
Acts as a resource to managers and employees regarding software quality best practices and testing methodologies.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business, or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in Quality, software quality assurance, software testing, software engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Advanced knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and software development lifecycle processes.
Experience with manual and automated testing techniques.
Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, HP ALM, or similar platforms.
Experience developing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestComplete, or equivalent frameworks.
Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps development environments.
Ability to analyze requirements and develop comprehensive test coverage strategies.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Advanced time management and organizational skills.
Must possess a SECRET Clearance (highly preferred TS/SCI or above)

Certified ISO-9000 Lead Auditor or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
