Acting as a donor-owned escrow account, Gloo Impact fuels flourishing while ensuring real-time accountability and transparency.
Champion Organizations are paid in real-time as they implement donor-approved programs targeting specific populations, leveraging features like bank integrations, fund and program management, real-time transactions, and robust verification workflows. Our Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining platform stability, ensuring our customers can continue transforming the world.
The Opportunity:
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer on the Impact team, you will be responsible for testing and validating our SaaS platform, particularly its financial components such as fund management, payment triggers, milestone verification, and bank integrations (Plaid, Unit.co). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA for SaaS applications, experience with systems that process financial transactions, and a passion for delivering reliable and high-quality software solutions. This position is remote based at our headquarters in Boulder, Colorado.
What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate platform functionality, focusing on financial workflows (e.g., milestone payments, fund deposits, bank account integrations via Plaid).
  • Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical financial and user processes, including KYB/KYC verification and funds flow .
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure timely fixes.
  • Validate data accuracy and financial transactions within the platform (e.g., milestone payments, revenue distribution) using logs, database queries, and reporting tools .
  • Perform regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure new features do not impact existing workflows.
  • Collaborate in agile ceremonies, offering input during sprint planning to define acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements.
  • Monitor and improve testing efficiency by identifying opportunities to automate manual workflows.
  • Support release readiness by ensuring product compliance with internal QA standards, user acceptance testing (UAT), and financial accuracy.


What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in QA roles testing SaaS applications with financial workflows or payment systems.
  • Strong understanding of testing financial components such as transaction workflows, deposits, withdrawals, and milestone-triggered payments .
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman) for verifying integrations with financial APIs like Plaid, Unit.co, or similar systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex workflows.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and solutions to quality issues.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a QA role supporting a Financial SaaS product
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright).
  • Understanding of banking regulations, anti-money laundering (AML), and nonprofit financial operations.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining automated test suites for SaaS platforms.


Compensation: $90,000 - $135,000

  • Based on experience, skills, and demonstrated expertise
