ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton's Quality Engineering team is looking for experienced, well-rounded Quality Assurance Engineers to work on our award-winning Peloton products. In this role, you work in a team to insure the quality of the product and work closely with Software/Hardware developers, Product Management and help teams cultivate a quality attitude and advocate for quality using best practices for software testing.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- 5+ years of experience in software QA.
- Experience must include products with electromechanical hardware/software with online/backend/API integration.
- Experience with content management testing and technologies.
- Experience on verifying that content displays and behaves correctly across multiple platforms and devices, including text, images, videos, and interactive elements.
- Experience with defining and implementing a test strategy for a product/feature
- Solid understanding of mobile application testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
- Familiar with Android OS
- Exceptional test competence and expertise in formal and informal testing techniques as well as quality reporting.
- Exceptional troubleshooting / debugging skills
- Familiarity with setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions.
- Experience in using code repositories and SW development tools (Git, JIRA, Confluence, TestRail or similar).
- Excellent teammate with experience working with multi-functional scrum teams
- Ability to accomplish complex engineering task independently
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Develop and complete test plans that cover functional, integration, system, performance, stress and regression testing scenarios.
- Ensure proper localization and formatting for different regions or languages.
- Work closely with content teams to ensure that new and existing content meets technical requirements.
- Ensure the end-user experience is seamless, validating content workflows, video streaming.
- Test video streaming-related APIs to ensure proper functionality for content delivery, user authentication, playback management, and more.
- Validate API calls for fetching content, metadata, and analytics.
- Implement test cases and analyze test results to identify, isolate, and report software defects accurately.
- Create test reports, analyze data, summarize information, and present results to the relevant audience.
- Provide frequent reporting on product quality status and system performance metrics to functional teams and senior management.
- Work closely with the SW developers, software QA, and project managers as well as help developers to identify problems efficiently and provide testing information or experience timely in order to drive the issues being fixed.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Monitor and handle test execution within the CI/CD environment.
- Configure and maintain test environments, including simulators, physical devices, and necessary dependencies.
- Be an active participant in regular scrum meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning/grooming, UAT and provide in-depth testing clarity and direction as appropriate.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test plans, and test results.
- Work with teams to make testing an integral part of the software development process
- Ensure the quality and integrity of product or project deliverable shipped to customers
- Assist in driving adoption of best practices in testing and maintainability
- Hands on experience in automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical devices (Android device)
- Hands on experience with setting up and configuring Jenkins or CircleCI
- Hands on experience mobile app testing with over-the-air updates
- Experience with Product analytics and Observability tools like Amplitude, Datadog and New Relic.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. $117,700—$152,900 USD
