The Role
Job Summary:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a Scrum environment to ensure the quality and reliability of our SaaS solutions. You will contribute directly to the assessment of test objectives and creation of test plans, utilize a variety of exploratory and automated testing techniques and tools, capture and leverage test and quality metrics, and execute test plans to validate pre-production software. Driven by the goal of preventing issues from entering production, you will directly contribute to customer success and help drive TradeCentric’s next phase of growth.

📅 Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-office Tues.–Thurs., remote Mon./Fri.)
🕒 Hours: 9am to 6pm
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify system requirements and goals of planned solutions
- Provide feedback on and contribute to acceptance criteria for user stories
- Create comprehensive test plans and test cases for both initial and regression testing
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using various tools
- Identify and thoroughly document bugs and issues
- Perform revalidation and regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Who You Are:
- A great teammate. Confident and passionate, yet humble and empathetic
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Possesses 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- A self-starter with an ability to “hit the ground running” with minimal supervision
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing for SaaS platforms
- Avid problem-solver to simulate production scenarios, replicate issues, and identify edge-cases
- Proficient with testing applications and API written in PHP 8.x and Vue.js or similar
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
- Hands-on experience with automation scripting (Python) and SQL
- Knowledge of various data formats including XML, cXML, JSON and HTTP/API protocols
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience testing in a Scrum and CI/CD environment
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Experience with source code control systems, specifically GitHubExperience in B2B, e-commerce, or integration domains and software is a plus
