Position Summary:
As a member of our organization, you have the overall responsibility for go / no go decision on electronic components for a warehouse / quality hub. Works to develop process improvement initiatives and as part of the certification team. Acts as an onsite resource to ensure that proper actions are being taken to screen for part quality / counterfeit / and conformity. Looks to introduce, improve the use of inspection tools and equipment. Responsible for providing broad engineering support to personnel, certification of personnel, and interfacing with broader company quality.

What can you do for us!
- Overall responsibility for go/ no go decision on product based on results of incoming inspection.
- Responsible for continuous improvement of processes related to product quality and the training of those processes. Responsible for ensuring processes are followed.
- Responsible for learning and disseminating information relating to quality and counterfeiting of parts and developing and implementing new methods to identify.
- Responsible for maintaining control of all inspection processes.
- Provide support to customers when any quality issues arise; prepares corrective action and follow up on implementation and close out.
- Responsible for contributing to ISO 9001:2000 certification, ESD 20/20 certification, and other certifications deemed necessary for the warehouse/quality hub and any Fusion operations in that geography.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the Fusion Counterfeit Avoidance Program
- Provide metrics related to inspection results; provide input to the vendor rating system based on inspection results.
- Provide monthly updates on activities and improvements made on processes.
- Work with the Warehouse manager to further strengthen and improve inspection processes with a goal of 0 defects
- Suggest improvements in workflow and equipment to make processes more efficient and effective
- Remains active with industry contacts to ascertain new counterfeiting techniques and new ways to catch those parts.
- Responsible for assisting in the training of inspectors; responsible for insuring they achieve proper certification and responsible for providing continual learning and development.
- Coordinates with other quality management at other sites as well as purchasing and commodity management
- Interfaces with part manufacturers when necessary to obtain information and verification concerning parts and findings
- Puts out updates when there are counterfeits identified.
Who we’re looking for!
- Degree in Electronics or related is preferred
- At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in OCM (chipmaker experience) focusing on technical/testing aspects or ICs/chips testing experience in Laboratory.
- Technical and Quality background/experience on electronic components/ICs related to manufacturing/Failure Mode Analysis/Testing
- Distribution quality experience and understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing and distribution process.
- Demonstrated record of process improvement and knowledge.
- Understands equipment and tools that may aid in the inspection and test of electronic components
- A high-energy, smart, and persistent individual, driven to succeed and revolutionize an industry
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and inputs in a fast-moving environment

Skills Required
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in OCM or ICs/chips testing in a laboratory
- Technical and quality background on electronic components, ICs, failure mode analysis and testing
- Distribution quality experience and understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and distribution processes
- Experience identifying and implementing counterfeit detection methods
- Experience maintaining and improving inspection processes and providing inspection metrics
- Ability to train and certify inspectors and provide ongoing development
- Understanding of equipment and tools for inspection and test of electronic components
- Contribute to ISO 9001:2000 and ESD 20/20 certification activities
- Degree in Electronics or related field
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and support customer quality issues
