Job Summary:

This position supports the production of quality Hibu Websites and digital products by reviewing and editing websites prior to issuing the proof to the customer. They work independently to ensure information, content and design supplied through the client consultation is reflected in the Website or Digital proof. They must also ensure content and design meets Hibu standards, and make content and design edits as needed. They must maintain high quality and productivity per company standards while always ensuring a customer focus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to write and edit effective and accurate copy for Hibu’s website products
  • Ensure that all websites content meets the customer needs, and has captivating copy and functional design that will promote conversion from site visitors to customers
  • Ensure Website copy and design is accurate and geared toward current SEO trends and follow hibu product definitions
  • Successfully manage their individual workload to meet identified targets / objectives
  • Compliance with workflow processes and sendin jobs to correct statuses in the workflow
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of SEO and what practices will help the customer succeed on the web
  • Make sound judgments in terms of site layout, structure, and appropriate use of navigation/sub navigation
  • Ability to take feedback from Management and provide feedback to the Writer and Design teams.
  • To be a positive force on the team and department maintaining a positive, results-based work environment
  • Maintain complete understanding of all rules and guidelines for digital creation/construction.
  • Stay informed of product, system, sales, operations or customer service updates, issues and concerns.
  • Participate in calibrations and training to maintain a consistent standard with the other reviewers

Competencies:

  • Effective verbal and written communications
  • Ability to write captivating copy that engages the reader
  • Proofreading skills to prevent or correct spelling or grammar errors
  • Comprehensive understanding of hibu’s Web product set
  • Strong customer focus ensuring all content meets customer’s expectations and requests
  • Must be able to quickly learn new products, systems, and processes
  • Proactively bring issues impacting production to management’s attention in a timely / effective manner
  • Proper time management
  • Solid understanding of the website workflow and process steps to ensure accurate hand-offs through the systems 4
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (eg., Microsoft Excel)

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years previous writing experience for the web, advertising, or journalism
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication with strong grammar skills
  • Ability to craft a strong, actionable marketing message from supplied assets
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadline
