About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Engineer with a primary focus on Python, SQL, and BFSI/Capital Markets Domain expertise. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the Trade Life Cycle and be proficient in Python, SQL, Docker and CI/CD processes. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate strong soft skills, including being a self-starter, proactive, as well as having excellent communication and documentation skills.
About the Team:
The FIS Post-Trade Processing Platform integrates multiple functions to support cross-asset securities and derivatives processing. It is a real-time, flexible, and future-proof solution that integrates middle-office, accounting, settlement, securities lending, corporate actions, collateral management, and treasury on one powerful integrated platform.
You will be joining the team looking after a Corporate Action module. It's business wise very interesting domain. The module has been growing rapidly over last year and has extensive roadmap for next years ahead.
What you will be doing:
In this position you will be working as a QA Engineer integrated within one of our specialist development teams, providing a valuable skillset to solve complex automation problems and innovative automation solutions for fast tracking releases. As an individual contributor you will:

Be a quality advocate and own the QA and testing in your team and work with the team lead to boost QA coverage, defining testing standards, and serving as the subject matter expert.

Be responsible for complete testing /QA for your team, from analyzing requirements to verifying the features on staging environments.

Build and expand QA Automation frameworks and features to increase Test Coverage, maintain and share automation progress and stats with management

General QA activities which includes defect reporting and tracking, effective stakeholder engagement, creating automation scripts and utilities using Python, PL/SQL and SQL, CI/CD and materialize automation and innovation opportunities to improve productivity.

Evaluate and engineer complex test data throughout the software development life cycle.

Participate in Agile Activities and contribute to achieving defined goals for each sprint

Build an understanding of the product on a technical and functional level, understand the context of our clients, participate in solution design, drive testing activities, and deliver solutions that address the business needs

Work with the Business Analyst and Solution Architect as well as with experienced people in team to understand projects requirements, identify requirement gaps, functional risks so that these can be addressed early in the process.

Work closely with other team members like Developers, product owners in a team to ensure better turnaround for issue resolution and change implementation

Evaluate test data and/or engineer test data to be used throughout the software development life cycle

Drive all phases of test execution and documentation including functional, regression, performance, usability, integration and acceptance testing.

Implement processes to improve the quality of deliverables and maintain a repository of documents.

Collaborate with the QA Manager to boost QA and Testing levels as well as improving QA reporting and documentation

Participate in and contribute to the QA team, working on initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

What you will need:

Hands-on experience in Automation Framework Design using Python, CI/CD (GitHub Actions / Jenkins), SQL, Docker.

Experience in Automation Framework Design in Python
-
Functional and automation testing experience (both backend and frontend) with a thorough understanding of industry-wide QA processes.

Proficiency in SQL, including creating complex queries to pull data from multiple tables using joins.

Good knowledge of BFSI/Capital Markets domain and related middle and back office processes.

Good understanding of the Trade Life Cycle.
-
Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.

Strong grasp of of UNIX/Linux commands and scripting preferred

Experience with UI automation

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $99,830.00 - $167,700.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
