The Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst supports the Quality Department through data collection, analysis, records management, document control, and administration of quality-related databases and systems. This role focuses on transforming quality, safety, and maintenance data into actionable insights that support regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and effective Quality and Safety Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate quality, safety, and maintenance data from multiple systems to identify trends, risks, and performance gaps.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, charts, and graphical summaries to communicate findings to management and operational stakeholders.
- Monitor emerging safety and quality issues through data analysis and internal evaluations, providing regular recommendations to support risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
- Design and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and analytical tools to support quality and safety programs.
- Prepare and present statistical summaries, performance metrics, and trend analyses as required by the company.
- Maintain and administer quality department software and data platforms, including SharePoint, MyBoeingFleet, Intelex, and other applicable systems.
- Support development and tracking of safety and quality performance strategies, including measurable targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Investigate customer complaints, nonconformances, and quality events, supporting root cause analysis and corrective action development.
- Track audit findings, improvement initiatives, and corrective actions to closure and provide routine status updates for management meetings.
- Maintain investigation and findings trackers and prepare weekly or periodic status reports.
- Perform process-based performance audits to verify compliance with contractual requirements, internal procedures, and applicable aviation regulations.
- Identify and analyze nonconformities, assist in prioritizing corrective actions, and support initiatives to prevent recurrence.
- Quantify performance through KPIs, metrics, and data-driven assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant aviation quality or safety experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and apply documented processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong computer proficiency, including advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven data mining and data analysis capability.
- Strong self-management skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow through to completion.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
