Security and Science make the basis of Verona where before matchmaking there will be Fintech-grade authentication to ensure fraud detection. Through a deep appreciation for the science of compatibility, with Verona, we will be using AI for matchmaking based on an individual's core & shared values.

Role Brief

As a Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for testing the Verona mobile app, identifying issues, and ensuring that all features function as intended. You will work closely with developers and product teams to identify, document, and resolve bugs and other performance issues, ensuring a high-quality user experience across both iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• App Testing & Quality Assurance:
• Conduct manual and automated testing for mobile applications on iOS and Android, ensuring smooth functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure coverage for both new and existing features.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with developers for quick resolution.
• Perform regression testing to ensure app stability after bug fixes or feature updates.
• Test Automation:
• Design and implement automated test frameworks for mobile app testing, utilizing tools.
• Create, maintain, and run test scripts to ensure consistent, scalable testing.
• Performance Testing:
• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure app stability under varying conditions (e.g., high user traffic).
• Monitor app performance metrics and provide insights to the development team for optimization.
• Cross-Device Testing:
• Ensure app compatibility across multiple devices and screen sizes, simulating real-world user scenarios.
• Test app behavior in various environments, including different OS versions and network conditions (Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, low bandwidth).
• Collaboration with Development Teams:
• Work closely with engineers and product managers to understand app requirements and define test strategies.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups to align QA efforts with development cycles.
• Advocate for best practices in quality assurance and work to improve the overall development process.
• Security and Compliance Testing:
• Test the app for vulnerabilities, including authentication, data encryption, and compliance with privacy regulations

Hard Skills Required:

• Proficiency in manual and automated mobile app testing (iOS and Android).
• Experience with test automation tools 
• Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools like JIRA
• Strong understanding of API testing using tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with QA processes.
• Experience in performance and load testing tools 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mobile app testing, both manual and automated.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in testing apps with high user traffic.
• Familiarity with cloud testing environments.
• Understanding of security testing and compliance standards for mobile apps.
