Job Summary
We are looking for a Quality Analyst with strong
experience in manual and functional software testing to ensure the quality,
reliability, and performance of applications. The role will involve end-to-end
testing, API and database validation, defect management, UAT support, and
coordination with development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Manual, Functional, Regression, Integration, and UAT testing of
applications.
- Understand
business and functional requirements and translate them into test
scenarios and test cases.
- Prepare
and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, test data, and
defect reports.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Perform database testing and data validation using SQL/MySQL.
- Identify,
document, track, and retest defects; coordinate with developers for timely
resolution.
- Validate end-to-end application workflows and third-party system/API integration
flows.
- Support
UAT activities, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and
closure.
- Prepare
and maintain BRD, process flows, user stories, UAT documents, test
documentation, and release notes.
- Participate
in requirement discussions and provide inputs from a quality and
testing perspective.
- Ensure
adequate test coverage and quality standards before application releases.
- Coordinate
with Product, Business, Development, and other stakeholders throughout the
testing and release lifecycle.
Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong
knowledge of Manual Testing and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on
experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, and UAT Testing.
- Good
understanding of API Testing using Postman/Swagger.
- Working
knowledge of SQL/MySQL and database validation.
- Experience
with Jira / Azure DevOps for defect and test management.
- Strong Requirement Analysis and Documentation skills.
- Ability
to prepare BRDs, user stories, process flows, UAT documents, and release
notes.
- Good
analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management
skills.
Qualification
- Graduate/Postgraduate
in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant
professional certification in Software Testing/QA will be an added
advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 3–6
years of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance/Testing.
- Experience
in testing web-based applications, APIs, databases, and third-party
integrations.
- Strong
attention to detail with a structured approach to testing and defect
identification.
- Ability
to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with
cross-functional teams.
Skills Required
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance or testing
- Strong knowledge of manual testing and the Software Testing Life Cycle
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Experience with API testing using Postman or Swagger
- Working knowledge of SQL/MySQL and database validation
- Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for defect and test management
