We're looking for a Senior Quality Manager to play a pivotal role in auditing, maintaining, and advancing the quality, safety, and cybersecurity processes behind QNX software products. In this highly visible role, you'll partner with engineering, product management, and safety and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with global standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help shape the future of our integrated Quality Management System (QMS) and Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS). What you'll do
Quality Systems & Compliance Leadership
- Partner on the continual improvement of the QNX QMS and CSMS toward meeting quality objectives and maintaining certification to ISO 9001 and ISO/SAE 21434.
- Drive continuous improvement quality initiatives and champion a quality and safety culture across engineering and product development teams.
- Contribute to the evolution and enhancement of QNX quality processes, templates, methodologies, and compliance frameworks.
- Apply expertise across multiple industry standards including ISO 9001, ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, and ASPICE to support certification readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Identify compliance gaps, assess risks, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure process consistency, traceability, and evidence generation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Stay current with emerging standards, regulations, and industry best practices affecting safety-critical and cybersecurity-focused software development.
Audit & Certification Activities
- Plan, execute, and document quality audits, gap analyses, compliance reviews, and process reviews assessments.
- Support certification readiness initiatives across safety, cybersecurity, and quality domains.
- Maintain compliance evidence packages and audit documentation required for internal and external assessments.
- Support interactions with certification bodies, regulatory organizations, customers, and external auditors.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through design, implementation, verification, validation, and release activities.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering teams on standards interpretation, audit readiness, process compliance, and certification requirements.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships that align quality objectives with technical and business goals.
- Participate in customer-facing audits including questionnaire responses, supplier engagements, and quality reviews.
- Contribute to quality strategy discussions, process governance, and product lifecycle initiatives across the organization.
What you'll have
- Proven experience in software process and quality management within embedded software environments, ideally in safety-critical industries such as automotive, industrial automation, medical devices, aerospace, defense, or rail.
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and one or more of the following: ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, ASPICE, SEI-CMMI, DO-178C.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, configuration management, requirements management, traceability, and process quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience conducting internal and external audits and supporting certification activities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and influencing skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
If you have any of these then that would be great
- Previous software engineering experience spanning requirements, design, development, testing, or systems engineering.
- Experience with process modeling, quality measurement, and traceability management in a functional safety environment.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification and/or root cause analysis (RCA), 5D, 8D.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JAMA, Jira, GitHub, and Confluence.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
- ASPICE Process Expert or Provisional/Competent Assessor certification.
- TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity management systems and compliance programs

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:
$96,000.00 - $126,000.00
Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position. The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.
