We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Qlik Sense BI Developer to join our Seville team, providing support to ongoing projects related to the optimization of data and information collection, management, and visualization, in close interaction with scientists. The candidate must be very familiar and ideally have solid experience with the business intelligence software Qlik Sense.
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Interest and acquaintance with engineering, environmental, and relevant process aspects, including understanding current data collection and analysis workflows:
- Collaborating with stakeholders;
- Ensuring data quality, validation, and integrity.
- Supporting the transition from Excel-based questionnaires to an internal web-based survey platform,
- Developing and maintaining internal documentation, including:
- Creating and updating internal procedures and guidelines;
- Developing and maintaining thematic spaces on the SharePoint platform;
- Maintaining the Teams group and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Supporting the development of data analytics and machine learning models to inform policy decisions;
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data-driven insights and recommendations;
- Participating in training and capacity-building activities to enhance data science skills and knowledge within the team and the institution’s data analyst network.
- Ensuring seamless and rapid access to collected data and information, as well as their integration into the European Institution’s Qlik Sense infrastructure, including:
- Developing data pipelines and workflows to facilitate data ingestion and processing;
- Ensuring data security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards for each industrial sector, including:
- Scripting, designing and implementing data visualizations to support insights and decision-making for highly interconnected data;
- Ensuring timely and accurate data updates and refreshes;
- Collaborating with stakeholders to refine and improve dashboard design and functionality;
- Crafting report templates using NPrinting (extension for Qlik Sense);
- Automating document formatting tasks using Python-based scripts.
- Developing data migration plans to transfer existing data to the new platform where relevant.
- Collaborating on a daily basis with project officers, IT services, and data teams which concentrate expertise in Qlik and related developments, including:
- Providing technical support and expertise in Qlik Sense and related developments;
- Participating in agile development methodologies and iterative feedback loops.
What do you need to succeed in this position?
Master Degree + 9 years of relevant professional experience or Bachelor + 13 years of relevant professional experience
Excellent knowledge (at least 2 years of professional experience each) in 3 specific expertise areas that are mandatory for the performance of tasks:
- Qlik Sense development (ETL/data model and visuals)
- Java/JEE development (at the basis of Qlik Broker and Custom Tools)
- Python-based scripts
- Excellent knowledge of data analytics techniques and tools.
- Good knowledge of business intelligence tools (standard is Qlik Sense).
- Experience with software development life cycle (Python).
Mandatory Certificates:
- Qlik Sense business analyst
- Qlik Sense data architect
General knowledge in industrial engineering and regarding environmental legal frameworks, in particular the relevant process, would be an asset.
Ability to understand, speak and write in English (B2). Other languages such as Spanish will be an advantage.
