Summary of role
The QC Lab Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily laboratory support operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and high-quality support for laboratory functions. This role leads lab services staff, manages workflows, and partners cross-functionally to support operational and business needs.
This position is based in Springfield, NJ and requires a presence on-site five days per week.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day lab services operations including sample tracking and storage, logistics, QC material and waste control, and QC equipment management.
- Supervise reference standards, set alert limits, ensuring sufficient quantity of materials for scheduled testing (as applicable).
- General QC system procedure management and controlling how the lab operates
- Ensure workflows are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business priorities.
- Responsible for the stability program (if applicable).
- Responsible for QC inspection response team and inspections readiness
- Lead, coach, and develop lab services staff and manage performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements such as GMP, GLP, and OSHA.
- Oversee lab inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination.
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, and Facilities teams.
- Track and report KPIs including turnaround time, service requests, and inventory accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of laboratory operations or lab services experience.
- 1–2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity in quality control systems is desirable. Knowledge of global regulatory requirements related to Quality Control of systemic processes desirable.
- Strong understanding of laboratory processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with electronic lab systems or inventory systems preferred.
- Knowledge of SOPs, cGMPs and the ability to work within a regulatory environment such as FDA and/or EMEA.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, complex and changing environment.
- Proactive mindset with strong collaboration skills.
- Experience working with external partners is highly desirable.
- Detail oriented.

The pay range for this position is between $89,000 and $148,000 annually.
Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Employees in this position are eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash incentive, and depending on the level of the role may be eligible for a discretionary annual equity award. Benefits for this position include a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Other offerings include life and disability benefits, pre-tax accounts, a 401(k) with company contribution, and a variety of other benefits.
