You are a Quality Assurance professional with a proven track record of working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver exceptional software products. You have strong problem solving abilities and excel in both self-directed efforts and as part of a collaborative team. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively to both set expectations and provide progress updates. You dig into requirements and ask clarifying questions to ensure that you understand expectations from product, design, and engineering.
You are able to decompose acceptance criteria and product requirements into well defined and documented test cases. You are eager to work with an exceptional team and you care deeply about delivering bug-free software.
About the RoleAs a Quality Assurance Tester at Flourish, you will be responsible for working in close partnership with product, design, and engineering teams to write and execute test cases for both existing and new products and features. You will work in a fluid environment where things change frequently and be expected to adapt to keep your team focused to continually deliver value.
Principal Responsibilities- Ingest acceptance criteria and product requirements from product and design and output detailed test cases
- Develop testing plans to execute test cases for both regression testing on existing features and testing on new features
- Help find, isolate, and track bugs through resolution
- Catalog defects in detailed bug tickets
- Use Exploratory testing to support testing activities
- Partner with product, engineering, and design to prioritize and address bugs
- Help build and maintain a prioritized bug backlog
- Help build and maintain centralized test case catalog
- Collaborate with engineering to help build and maintain relevant test data
- BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience
- Due to the nature of this position, as part of the background check process, candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA. For roles requiring registration, additional regulatory screenings may apply, including a review of Form U5 disclosures and other relevant licensing information.
- Proven track record of delivering software projects from initial conception through to completion
- Experience building direct to consumer software products
- Ability to work in partnership with QA engineering to maintain a robust combined manual and automated testing strategy
- Experience working in an Agile framework
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast moving team under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Experience working on complex workflow tools
- Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g. finance, medicine)
- Demonstrated interest in Finance, FinTech, InsurTech, and related fields

Base Salary Range: $104,900 - $137,700 plus bonus
