About the role

TeleTracking is seeking a QA Release Manager to lead quality readiness and coordinate reliable software releases across our SaaS platform. This role connects Quality Assurance, Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, and customer-facing teams to ensure releases are thoroughly validated, operationally ready, and clearly communicated.

You will own the release readiness process, make quality and delivery risks visible, and drive improvements that help teams deliver software with greater confidence and predictability. Success requires strong technical judgment, disciplined execution, and an understanding of how software changes affect healthcare organizations operating around the clock.

What you will do:

Release Planning and Execution

  • Own the integrated release calendar, coordinating scope, milestones, dependencies, and readiness across multiple development teams.
  • Establish release entry and exit criteria with Engineering, QA, Product, and DevOps.
  • Lead release readiness reviews and go/no-go discussions, ensuring decisions reflect testing evidence, operational readiness, and customer impact.
  • Coordinate production releases, maintenance releases, and emergency fixes, including deployment sequencing, validation, and rollback readiness.
  • Maintain release documentation, decision records, and stakeholder communications.
  • Align documentation and training readiness with Services and Product Management teams.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management

  • Coordinate release-level test planning and execution with QA and Engineering, including functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and nonfunctional testing.
  • Ensure critical healthcare operational workflows and customer integrations receive appropriate validation.
  • Lead defect triage, making severity, customer impact, remediation plans, and residual risks clear before release.
  • Partner with Engineering and DevOps to strengthen automated quality checks within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Verify readiness for SaaS changes involving APIs, data migrations, configuration, feature flags, and compatibility across supported environments.
  • Coordinate with Security and other stakeholders to ensure applicable security, privacy, and accessibility checks are completed.

Operational Readiness and Continuous Improvement

  • Confirm deployment plans, monitoring, production smoke tests, support readiness, and recovery procedures are in place and fully executed in the correct sequence.
  • Partner with Customer Support, Customer Success, and implementation teams on release notes, known issues, and customer-facing impacts to support go-live readiness.
  • Coordinate post-release validation and participate in incident reviews when releases contribute to production issues.
  • Track release health through measures such as escaped defects, change failure rate, release predictability, and recovery time.
  • Lead release retrospectives and drive corrective actions that improve quality, reduce manual effort, and remove delivery bottlenecks.

What we look for:

  • Five or more years of experience in software quality assurance, release management, or software delivery, including at least two years coordinating releases across multiple teams.
  • Experience delivering cloud-based SaaS products in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of software testing practices, defect management, release controls, and CI/CD processes.
  • Ability to assess testing evidence, explain technical risks, and facilitate timely, informed release decisions.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, cloud environments, and deployment strategies.
  • Experience with issue tracking, test management, source control, and release automation tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with healthcare technology or other software supporting continuous, business-critical operations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability, including HL7 or FHIR.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, automated testing, observability, and progressive delivery techniques.
  • Experience coordinating releases involving sensitive data and enterprise customer requirements.
