Requirements:
QA Lead
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring the highest standards in software development, from planning through execution. The QA Lead will design and implement test strategies, mentor the QA team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product quality and reliability. This role requires a strong background in test management, automation, and an in-depth understanding of QA best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy & Planning: Define and execute a comprehensive test strategy, covering functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure product quality.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring skills development, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Test Automation: Oversee and, if necessary, participate in the design and implementation of automated test frameworks. Drive automation testing initiatives to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development, product management, and project management teams to align on release schedules, define test requirements, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Defect Management: Implement processes for effective defect tracking, reporting, and resolution. Ensure transparency in defect reporting and tracking for stakeholders.
- Quality Metrics: Define and monitor quality metrics, such as test coverage, defect densities, and open defect counts, to measure progress and drive improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate, recommend, and implement QA tools, processes, and best practices to enhance the team’s efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role.
- Proven experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating test automation into CI pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
