Job Description

Role Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Tester Lead to join our expanding software development team. You will be providing the strategic direction, best practice, and road map for achieving the desired outcomes. You would need a good understanding of the direction the field is taking within the context of Agile teams and DevSecOps and applied within a business services context. Within this role you’ll be helping to lead and develop future test strategy as part of a fast-paced change program working closely with development. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with the Development teams and technical leads to help to embed the new approaches and best practise within our development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Principle responsibilities • Direct the development and implementation of the Test strategy, methodology, discipline, and framework. • Focus on an Automate first approach and integration with Modern DevSec Ops practises. • Provide leadership and technical expertise within functional and non-functional Test Automation and Testing • Responsible for defining QA strategy standards, implementation, and execution in development projects. • Be accountable for the implementation of test automation frameworks and projects, • Mentor and provide guidance to the QA automation developers and managers, across multiple projects, offshore and in-house. • Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined. • Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards. • Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and industry recognized Best Practices.
  • Personal Skills & Qualities • Self-motivated with strong team spirit; • Strong work ethic • Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as ability to work within a team; • Excellent multi-tasking skills; • Ability to communicate well to both technical and non-technical staff.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Desirable Experience • 5 to 7 years of experience as a tester and more recently as a Test lead, leading test functions. • Experience of working in an agile environment using a Scrum or Kanban approach. • Experience of the full development lifecycle. • Strong Software testing and analysis skills and able to drive testing strategies across multiple programmes
