At AxesInMotion we develop and publish F2P mobile games from our office in Seville. Our games have been downloaded more than 900 million times all over the world, with a focus on open world driving simulators. We are currently expanding our team with the addition of a talented and passionate QA Engineer.

We are looking for a QA Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in the video game industry. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and involved throughout the entire development process, from discovery to release. They enjoy working closely with development and production teams, understand both technical and business needs, and contribute to improving product quality from the earliest stages of a project. Beyond executing test cases, they are able to understand the purpose behind new features, anticipate potential risks, provide valuable feedback, and promote a quality-focused mindset across the team.

What will you do?

  • Help ensure the stability, reliability, and overall quality of our mobile games.
  • Participate actively in discovery and kick-off phases, providing a quality perspective from the beginning of the development process.
  • Follow new features throughout the entire production cycle, ensuring alignment between all teams involved.
  • Collaborate closely with development, design, and production teams to identify risks and improve feature quality before implementation.
  • Review and create use cases together with designers and other stakeholders.
  • Design, maintain, and execute test plans covering new features, regression testing, performance, integration, compatibility, and UI validation.
  • Analyze test cases to maximize coverage while optimizing testing efforts.
  • Identify usability issues and provide feedback to improve the player experience.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within development teams and contribute to strengthening QA practices across projects.
  • Monitor player feedback, reviews, and reports to help identify quality issues and improvement opportunities.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a QA Tester in the video game industry.
  • Experience working closely with development teams throughout the feature development process.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to take ownership of quality from the early stages of a project.
  • Good understanding of QA principles, testing methodologies, and software quality processes.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, ask the right questions, and anticipate potential issues.
  • Experience creating and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, BrowserStack, Excel, and similar QA tools.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and usability testing.
  • Basic understanding of backend systems and their impact on product quality.
  • Experience working with different mobile platforms and operating systems, including iOS, Android, Amazon, and Samsung devices.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Play Console, SourceTree, VPN tools, or data analysis platforms.
  • Ability to evaluate new features from both a technical and business perspective, considering their potential impact on the product and the player experience.
  • Passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
