We are looking for a QA Engineer with extensive quality assurance experience to join our team. The QA Engineer role at fjorge is integral to delivering high-quality products that meet client needs and business goals. The QA Engineer ensures the technical execution of projects, from a quality standpoint. The QA Engineer collaborates closely with other team members, consistently providing clear communication, accurate estimations, and maintaining a high standard of work that aligns with the product vision. This is a in-person role based in our Kumasi, Ghana office. We expect to see full time in-office collaboration.

Senior developers help lead technical planning to meet product and project requirements and stay actively engaged throughout the client engagement. They see themselves as key stakeholders and help ensure project success by supporting team collaboration through clear and effective communication channels. They also help refine the implementation into actionable tasks to keep projects moving forward.

- 5+ years of software quality assurance experience, with a proven track record of successful project deliveries
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies for web applications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Successfully maintains quality standards while meeting project timelines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Jest, React Testing Library)
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
- Understanding of SQL for test data management and validation
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills for test automation
- Experience with mobile testing technologies
- Familiarity with accessibility testing standards and tools
- Cross-browser and cross-platform testing experience
- You are held accountable to a 90% personal utilization target
